Album ice rises southward from the Arctic in a rare mass exodus

they have been observed in snow-white birds, which stand with 2 feet and 5 feet lengths of the wings, from coast to coast, and nutrition on farms in the state of Idaho, perching on the roofs of the homes in the state of Montana, slip on golf courses in the state of Missouri and the beaches of the mass.

There are a number of southern flying discs emblematic of their breeding grounds in the Arctic during the winter, but rarely do a lot of adventures too far, even in the midst of a large-scale migration in the league of the south known as theft.

"What we" re seeing now - is unbelievable, "said Denver Holt, president of the Owl Research Institute in the state of Montana.

"This is the most important event in the wild decades," said Holt, who has studied the Album Snow in the Arctic tundra ecosystem for decades.

Holt and other experts say that the owl probably related to the phenomenon of rodents and rodents, which constitute 90 percent of the diet of breeding Album snow during the stretch from May to September. The birds of prey in the night, largely also in a number of other animals, from mice to the geese.

Abundant supply of rodents, especially in the last season, probably led to a population boom between disks that have hatched in each breeding pair up to seven children. Holt said that compared to the typical clutch size of no more than two.

Increased competition has led this year by food in the north end of the booming population, and smaller birds, most of the men's southernmost Album usual.

He said that research in animals are rare because of the remoteness and harsh conditions of occupation of the land album, including Northern Russia and Scandinavia.

The dramatic increase in the scenes of Snowy Owl bird watchers who come to Texas, Arizona and Utah to the north, the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Northwest, and served dollars in local economies, tourism, parks and wilderness areas the congestion. The charm of his appearance raised the general public that shows the age and interest cover.

"For the past months, all visitors from other asks if we have seen Snowy Owl today," Tanaka said Francisco, a volunteer in the northeast of Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge National Olympia, Washington.

But losing Album accounts in some places - including bird feeding and starving, who fell dead in a field, farmers in the state of Wisconsin - the immigration bill the dark side. Holt said he was killed by an owl landed at an airport in Hawaii in November and killed to avoid collision with the aircraft.

He said he believed that the snowy owl population to be declining overall, perhaps due to climate change and mitigation of the abundance of the grass plants as dependent rodents.

Outbreak this winter, snow owl, with multiple scenes as far south as Oklahoma State, is still largely a mystery of nature.
