And Clarence Jones will receive the award during the annual celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. co-sponsored by Georgetown University and the Kennedy Center.
The famous Jones, author and researcher at Stanford University to help design the opening paragraphs King, "I have a dream." That was when the King was in jail in Birmingham, Alabama, Jones, who brought his "Letter from Birmingham Jail" to the local clergy.
Enjoyed by the legacy of John Thomson Jr. Award 2012 in the dream. Award, named for the man's name and former Georgetown basketball coach, and scholars and activists from the honors in the humanitarian field and the struggle for social justice.
