Dolly Parton, Queen Latifah hit good grades in "Joyful Noise"

Joyful Noise, a sort of Glee!-Meets-gospel choir music competition, is a very nice racquet. A gay, not completely out of the crowd pleaser that rarely breaks color formula is the equivalent of a kiss on the big screen too affectionate Aunt overlooked during the holidays.

He makes a face. You stand there and take it. And do not let anyone see you smile later.

The writer and director Todd Graff, who specializes in this type of music, fun, kitsch (Bandslam, Camp) Dolly Parton back the desert attracts the film and is surgically modified with Queen Latifah.

They play with great belters two competing visions of how their integration, bringing small town church choir can win the big competition Joyful Noise Choir.

They wear their clothes, and keep to a minimum and perform spectacular pop pure gospel? Or show some flash, the adaptation of traditional love songs of the past and rock the house?

Do you remember Sister Act We know the answer to this question.

He Rose (Latifah) takes as director of the choir during their long-time director (Kris Kristofferson) has a heart attack and dies after a performance. DD (Parton), his widow and financial benefactor of the choir, is not happy. But grits his teeth and exercises, offering homespun jokes along the way.

Graff delights in them, and dispersed towards the south by the script - Zingers delivered by Dolly and other Pacashau, Ga, god of the church choir sacred.

"You're so country, has been married three times and is still the same in-laws!"

"You do not look as happy as a puppy Waggin two tails!"

This warning Roses - "There's always free cheese in the mousetrap!"

Falls on a beautiful solo girl Olivia (Keke Palmer). Olivia needs to hear, because the boys are his points of view, especially DD son Randy, Randy (Jeremy Jordan).

Then there's another guy that Rose, Walter (Dexter Darden), including Asperger syndrome takes the form of an obsession with the songs of one-hit wonders.
