He flew a new film that follows the lives of the heroes of the Tuskegee Airmen in theaters on Friday.
It is the story of the pilot training program for African American pilots who were called to serve in World War II.
At night the Prime Minister, which brings together some of the people in LaGrange for the recognition of a pilot in the city of Tuskegee: Willie Fuller.
"He has not dreamed of growing up to fly with the United States as a member of a group like the Tuskegee Airmen," said Kaye Minchew Historical Society with the Troup County.
Complete history is part of the exhibition, which opened Friday at the Heritage Museum and Archives Troup County in LaGrange.
However, the city has more of a connection to this story. Elijah Kelly LaGrange mother has a role in the film portrayed Samuel "Joker" George, a fictional character based on one of these pilots.
"The Tuskegee Airmen are the heroes of America who happened to be African-American, but this is the story of an American, and it's ridiculous that this story in any part of the curriculum we have," said Kelly.
Kelly, visited LaGrange on Friday the opening of the film and see the exhibition. What explains the three real pilots of Tuskegee, and Fuller, in a group to help the actors understand their characters.

The actor says he is one of the objectives of this movie.

Kelly also found this week that his song "light years", wrote, produced and sang the official song of the movie Red tails.
