Many people have happy memories of his time in Alcatraz, the former prison is located in downtown San Francisco Bay. However, Sue Johnson is an exception.
"I look so different from the one that was locked, and that was my home," said Sue Johnson.
Johnson's father was a guard at Alcatraz prison. He lived there until age 14.
"It was like living in a small town, but it was really unique. All the guards made the same amount of money, there was no class system, and they all got along, and if they are accompanied outside the island," said Johnson.

Only years after Johnson's eyes are opened to the harsh reality.
"There was a rule on the island, and if there was an escape from prison, and the situation of the hostages, and killed us. I can not leave the prisoners in the island. I did not know that," said Johnson.
She said the island has secrets.
"One of the escape from prison and my mother was in San Francisco, and not let you return to the island for 24 hours until the content is, do not know whether to break a big prison, they were killing all or nothing . No one knew anything was happening there, "said Johnson.
Life was not always the joy of Alcatraz. Johnson recalls some of the darkest memories.
"When we got off the boat and exit school each siren, and we know something bad is happening," said Johnson.
Remember the chilling details.
"It was a big black bubble on the water, so that all cancers of swelling in all, it was one of the prisoners who tried to flee," said Johnson.

"We're used to human beings, and if we ever had before them, they told us that courtesy, but not to them and talk to them," said Johnson.
